Making memories meant selecting a Beatle of choice. Female fans always adored one lucky lad over the others. There was John the married Beatle, while Paul was the boyish one. Ringo wore outlandish rings, and young George was dubbed the quiet Beatle (because of a sore throat during his first American visit).

A true follower wore a Beatle Button with the beloved Beatle’s name and head shot in black and white. On my own oversized laminated button was written in bold letters “I LOVE PAUL.” I also wore a small black plastic pin in the shape of a guitar featuring Paul’s face in an orangey hue with his autograph in raised gold plastic letters.
